Good, really good, but still…
I’ve had this hoover flair vacuum for about two years. It continues to work very well on about 1000sq ft of hardwood floors. It has great edge cleaning and its size is tremendously convenient. The cord isn’t as long as I’d like, but I don’t think I’d want to spend the time coiling a super long cord either. We have two dogs and we have used it at least 2x per week. I bought this hoover flair s2220 because we had an area rug, and our big upright hoover stays upstairs for the most part. My biggest complaint is that the beater bar is not removable. After 6 months or so, human hairs and threads that get wrapped around the beater bar have to be cut out. After a year or so, some of these migrated towards the belt (unservicable?) and the beater stopped working altogether. After nearly tearing it apart and cleaning it, it worked again for about 3 months. For the past several months, the beater spins but is far less effective - to the point of having to bring the other vacuum cleaner downstairs.
All in all, this a GREAT little hoover vacuum cleaner for tile and hardwoods. We got another area rug recently, making the carpet performance more critical. For the price I paid, I wouldn’t expect it to work forever, but I’ll be getting another vacuum soon, and not another one of these.
Finally a hoover flair s2220 that really works!
We have been through so many stick brooms over the years, and the suction has always been feeble, but this one really grabs the floor, and sucked in dust from a foot away. Good on carpets too and really lightweight.
